Skin retouching using Gaussian blur, where neccessary the detail was retained by adding a adjustment layer
Done to the extreme to demonstrate effect.
New fill layer added, blending mode changed to colour and opacity reduced.
Layered the two images, changed the blending mode to darken, then used the adjustment layer to erase the pattern from the background.
